As the busy home selling season rolls into the Twin Cities, the community is seeing its biggest sales boom in a decade. But that doesn't mean it's easy to sell your home.
“Just because it’s a hot market, that doesn’t mean every house is going to sell,” said Karen Galler, owner of Showhomes Minneapolis, a Twin Cities staging and remodeling company, who says that more than ever home sellers need to pay close attention to the condition of their house.
“Buyers are picky,” she said. “They’ve been trained by watching HGTV and people are impressed with that. It’s an obsession.”
While presenting that TV-ready home may not be a reality for most local sellers, there are things they can do to best position their home to sell in a competitive market.
