Philadelphia was recently named in the top ten cities for female entrepreneurs, and the Philadelphia Business Journal spoke with Showhomes franchisees Ally Piccolomini and Monica Estes about their success as women business owners.
According to the article, Piccolomini and Estes say Philadelphia is supportive of women entrepreneurs.
Said Estes, "There's always been a challenge associated with setting up a business in Pennsylvania, but Philadelphia itself is open to all types of people from a variety of different backgrounds."
They went on to say that the level of education, wealth and geographical location have also been factors in making Philadelphia welcoming of female entrepreneurs.
"The reason Philadelphia ranks so highly is because of the confluence of those things," Estes said.
